Illness
Within a nursery there is always an amount of illness and sickness
that goes around.
We try very hard to stop the spread of certain illnesses by
maintaining a very high standard of cleanliness, for example, washing hands after
every nappy change, spraying the changing mat with antibacterial cleaner and keeping
eating and changing areas hygienic and clean.
As parents you can also help by keeping your child at home if
they have diarrhea and sickness and by ensuring that children with conjunctivitis
do not return to the nursery until they have drops and by keeping children at
home with any infectious illness or unexplained rashes, until your Doctor has
diagnosed it and said that your child may return.
If your child becomes unwell with an infectious illness they
can not attend the nursery for a minimum of 48 hours after the symptoms have stopped.
